Environmentally enhance homes to ‘very good’ Eco–Homes standard with a conventional appearance and feel.

Carvill are offering something quite unique to the residents of Woodbrook; that is a whole range of sustainable optional extras that will open up a new way of living to everyone. We are currently researching the options of offering:

• Integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) Tiles to provide free electricity from the sun
• Onsite recycling points to make recycling more convient for all
• Community allotments to encourage local interaction, food production and bio-diversity
• Rain water collection to encourage water conservation
• Composting facilities to reduce the volume of wate that is taken to landfill
• ´Low Flow´ taps and other measures to help conserve water usuage

Bearing in mind the changes ahead in relation to how home owners will be charged for water, the Carvill group take very seriously the issue of water conservation, this is why the sanitary ware provided in the new homes in Woodbrook as well as being attractive, will also conform to the latest eco friendly recommendations as to water usage.

Rain water collection barrels that will be provided to the houses on the development can provide water for household tasks such as watering the gardens and washing the car. A high performance condensing boiler is being fitted as standard to each home, and occupants will benefit from increased efficiency and the knowledge that they are emitting fewer CO2 gases to the atmosphere.

Composting bins will be provided to the rear gardens of the houses on the development to encourage recycling of household and garden waste.
